The cult of the Dry Martini reaches far and wide. However, in our opinion the lesser known Martinez is deserving of equal praise.
Combining power, a perfectly balanced level of sweetness and a showcase for the beautiful herbal intensity of Garden Tiger gin. If you are looking for a short aperitif then we can reccomend:
- 50ml of Garden Tiger dry gin (or alternatively one of our barrel aged gins)
- 25ml of Rosso Vermouth (sweet Italian)
- 6ml of Dry Vermouth (white French)
- 6ml of Triple Sec (e.g., Cointreau)
- 1 Dash Angostura bitters
- A slice of orange zest
Combine all the ingredients, bar the orange zest, in an ice filled shaker. Shake until the shaker is well coated in condensation. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Twist the orange zest over the glass to express the essential oils and place in the drink.
