Less than three dozen miles from our distillery in the orchard rich, fertile landscape of Herefordshire, lie fields heavy with the weight of blackcurrants. A cuvée of the finest varieties, the results of world renowned Scottish breeding.
It is here that we select our fruit for this stunning Eau de Vie. Received at their absolute peak, each berry is hand graded and cleaned. Gently crushed they are slowly fermented to preserve the maximum of aroma. This essence is then drawn out in a painstaking triple distillation. With up to 22kg of fruit to make each litre of Eau de Vie, we capture all of the character and complexity of these incredible fruit.
The nose, full and deep, reverberates with rich blackcurrant, menthol, spice, wild red berry notes and cedar. The palate combines a beautiful balance of sweetness and acidity, power and intricacy, soft but with mouth filling richness. blackcurrant leaf, floral pepper and mint, lead into an extremely long finish of increasingly pure blackcurrant.
